A glimpse into the past, the relaxation in modernity: Locanda Stardé is the link between the ancient hamlet and those who choose to observe it through the comfort of today.

Locanda Stardé rises on the hill of Neive, one of the most beautiful villages of Italy recognized by the Association “I Borghi più belli d’Italia”, surrounded by the precious and awarded land that gives us wines such as the Barbaresco. These awards are quite recent, whereas the choice to welcome travelers into the country house dates back to the 50s and is in fact the culmination of a project which has lasted now for more than two generations. A family tree that comes full circle in a peaceful and lush landscape, where past and present meet among the vineyards of Starderi.

Minimal yet elegant, the rooms of Locanda Stardé welcome all guests with the comforts needed to experience an intense and relaxing stay in the Langhe: their view over the hills allows to catch the nuances of the Unesco heritage from three tastefully and carefully furnished rooms, as revealed by the exposed bricks, proof of a renovated antiquity.

The Locanda stands on the heritage of traditional manufacturers and long-established artisan workshops, which make those who were born and bred among these hills proud of their unique landscape. However, since tradition does not rule out innovation, our aim is to strike a balance between the two by offering a wide variety of activities, in partnership with the local manufacturers and producers.

Guests who wish to fully experience our Langhe can take part in a flexible journey, which includes food and wine tastings across the “Romantic Roads”, literary routes following the works of writer Beppe Fenoglio, natural sightseeing or dynamic adventures for those keen on sport and athletics.
